“Ciranda” resignifies affective symbols of our country of origin.
As in a kaleedoscope, where you see repeated and organized images, it creates rhythm and movement.
For some, it's just a tangle of colors, flavors and smells.
For others, it accesses memories full of stories and 'saudade'.
*Ciranda is the name of a type of game that involves dancing, music and singing, very common throughout Brazil. The songs are composed of simple, repetitive and rhythmic texts.
*Saudade is described as a kind of melancholy yearning. Melancholy means sad, and yearning is a strong, persistent longing or desire, especially for something unattainable.
